Product Description – Assembly Thermocouple

Our factory mainly manufactures primary instruments such as thermocouples and RTDs. The assembled thermocouples we produce are designed in accordance with the IEC international standards, as well as the unified thermocouple series and model spectrum issued by the Ministry of Machinery and Electronics Industry.

Overview

Industrial assembled thermocouples, as temperature transmitters, are commonly used together with display instruments, recording instruments, and electronic regulators. They can directly measure the temperature of liquids, steam, gases, and solid surfaces in various production processes within the range of 0℃ to 1800℃.

According to relevant standards, our company manufactures assembled thermocouples that comply with IEC international standard graduation numbers, including PtRh30–PtRh6, PtRh10–Pt, NiCr–NiSi, NiCr–CuNi, and others.

An assembled thermocouple is generally composed of a temperature-sensing element, installation & fixing device, and junction box.

Main Technical Parameters

Measuring Range and Basic Tolerance Limits

Thermocouple Type Model Code Graduation No. Measuring Range (℃) Basic Tolerance Limit
NiCr–CuNi WRK E 0 – 800 ±0.75%t
NiCr–NiSi WRN K 0 – 1300 ±0.75%t
PtRh13–Pt WRB R 0 – 1600 ±0.25%t
PtRh10–Pt WRP S 0 – 1600 ±0.25%t
PtRh30–PtRh6 WRR B 0 – 1800 ±0.25%t

Note: “t” refers to the actual measured temperature value (℃) of the sensing element.

Additional Technical Notes

  • Nominal Pressure: Refers to the static external pressure that the protective tube can withstand at operating temperature without rupture.

  • Minimum Insertion Depth: Should not be less than 8–10 times the outside diameter of the protective tube (except for special products).

  • Insulation Resistance:

    • At ambient temperature 15–35℃ and relative humidity <80%, insulation resistance ≥5 MΩ (100 V).

    • For splash-proof junction box thermocouples, at 93±3℃, insulation resistance ≥0.5 MΩ (100 V).

  • High-temperature Insulation Resistance: At elevated temperatures, the insulation resistance between thermoelectrodes (including duplex type) and between thermoelectrodes and the protective tube (per meter) shall not be lower than the following values:

Continuous Service Temperature (℃) Test Temperature (℃) Minimum Insulation Resistance (Ω)
≥600 600 72000
≥800 800 25000
≥1000 1000 5000
