
Working Principle:
A noble metal thermocouple operates based on the Seebeck effect, where a voltage is generated when two dissimilar metals (e.g., Platinum and Platinum-Rhodium) are joined at one end and subjected to a temperature gradient. The resulting thermoelectric voltage is directly related to the temperature difference, allowing precise measurement of high temperatures.
The thermoelectric EMF is measured and interpreted using standard thermocouple tables (per IEC or ANSI), with cold junction compensation applied by the measurement system.
